nice to meet you!
Welcome to my website where I share the cozy in the chaos and the magic in the mundane.
Here I share blog posts with easy & yummy recipes, some of my favorite products and things from my home, as well as my thoughts and advice on simple living and my personal journey toward family minimalism.
I am looking forward to sharing more with you as I continue to add to the blog. Be on the lookout for posts about my DIY projects, homeschooling, as well as more about my faith + family.
I grew up in a small town in western Washington State. As the oldest of 5 homeschooled siblings, I have always enjoyed spending time with them leading worship music at our church, performing in local theater and making our own silly home movies shot on a 1990s cassette-style camcorder. We later upgraded to a 4 MP digital camera (ooohhhhh!) and my sisters and I LOVED editing late into the night our goofy lip-synched music videos and “cooking shows” we made for our parents and friends.
One of those friends was my now-husband Weston, whom I’ve known since we were 4 or 5 years old. We attended the same church and homeschool co-op together and enjoyed 13 years of “just friends”-ship until one fateful day as high school seniors. After an enlightening text conversation, (on flip phones, no less) we realized that we were clearly meant for each other and the rest is history.
We just celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary in July and are more in love today than ever. Our love has continued to grow as we raise our three kids (8 year old twin boys, Liam and Judah and our 5 year old little girl, Hailey Wren.)
As a team, we’ve built a life in stride with our goals as a homeschooling family and small business owners. I’m a full-time content creator on my YouTube channel and have enjoyed this job for the last 8+ years. When he’s not working with me, Weston is an electrician (which has come in handy as we work on our fixer-upper homestead we purchased last year) and on the side, he enjoys learning about physical fitness and nutrition.
In our down time you can probably find us enjoying time outdoors on our property. Weston likes to tinker on the tractor (when he’s not weight training) and I’m usually in the garden with the kids or playing with our rescue cats Linus and Lucy.
Jesus is the center of our home and as Christians, we are grateful to Him for every good and perfect gift we’ve been given. Life has had its fair share of ups and downs but we keep our eyes fixed on Him as we follow the journey we’re on together!
Whatever your background or current step on your own journey, I want you to know that you are welcome here. I’m glad to have you in my cozy little corner of the internet and look forward to sharing more with you as the blog grows!
